I did a little early morning Black Friday for the first time this year! It was a lot of fun. We didn't run into any crazy crowds but we were able to shop some of our favorite stores quietly with great discounts. I think next year, I need to make a list and try to get everyone done in one day! This year I was just along for the ride to see what it was all about.
Sometimes I enjoy a little repetition on my tree including rusty bells, stars and one of my favorite ornaments that I am going to share how I make with you! It adds a nice simple, rustic touch to any tree and they're super easy to make. And super cheap!
All you need is some jute, raffia or any type of cord, yarn, etc, a box of clear ornaments and a pair of scissors. They're that easy!
First you start by taking the cap off. Then I just take a piece of the cord, stick it inside the ornament and I keep pushing more in until the ornament looks full. You'll get all kinds of crazy shapes! Once the ornament is full, you just cut the cord off, push the end down inside and replace the cap.
The possibilities are endless with these you guys! You can even use colorful ribbon and all sorts of different ideas to create a different, customized look for your tree! I just love the texture of the clear glass and the cord inside.
What would you put inside your ornament?
Love these-and your pictures are amazing!

These are a great idea! I've been wanting to change up our tree and make some new ornaments but I'm trying to save up my pennies on that front right now and use what I've got :( Hopefully I'll be able to find a pretty new tree on sale after Christmas this year for next year though!
